RCVS Knowledge staff and Chair of Board of Trustees are named RCVS Fellows

5 August 2021

Amanda Boag, Fiona Lovatt, and Pam Mosedale have been named in the 2021 RCVS Fellows list, ahead of a formal ceremony to be held in the autumn.

Amanda Boag, who is Chair of the Board of Trustees at RCVS Knowledge, has been awarded her Fellowship for meritorious contributions to clinical practice. Fiona Lovatt, Farm Vet Champions Clinical Lead, and Pam Mosedale, QI Clinical Lead, have been awarded their Fellowships for meritorious contributions to the profession.

A total of 38 veterinary surgeons were named Fellows this year, from a broad variety of fields and specialisations. For the first time, more than half of them are women.

Professor John Innes, Chair of the Fellowship Board which governs the learned society, commented: “It was a great pleasure to personally write to all of my wonderful colleagues whose applications for the Fellowship have been successful. They should be very proud that they have successfully made it through our rigorous but fair application process, and how they’ve contributed to our profession in various different fields of endeavour.”

Amanda says: “It’s a great honour, and I could not be more delighted that two of my colleagues at RCVS Knowledge have been recognised too.” “I am very honoured to be recognised for the development of quality standards in the profession I am so passionate about,” says Pam. Fiona adds: “I feel incredibly honoured to have been awarded a Fellowship. It feels like stepping into some very large shoes!”

Chris Gush, Executive Director of RCVS Knowledge, says: “This is a great achievement for Amanda, Pam and Fiona as veterinary professionals. We at RCVS Knowledge are very proud and lucky to be able to include such senior and well-regarded veterinary surgeons in amongst our team and Trustees. Huge congratulations to each of them from me and everyone at RCVS Knowledge.”
