Attendance bursaries

 

At RCVS Knowledge, we are committed to making our conferences accessible to all members of the veterinary community – as such – we are proud to have a range of attendance bursaries available for our event; Skills Day: Quality Improvement in Practice.

These bursaries are targeted at Practice Managers, Veterinary Nurses, and Veterinarians in their first 5 years of practice.

Our attendance bursaries for Skills Day 2017 are sponsored by   Medivet

 

Practice Manager Bursary

The ideal bursary holder will be the manager of a practice that is looking to begin using QI resources, or has already begun. This bursary will provide successful applicants with an access-all-areas ticket to Skills Day 2017 and up to £100 towards travel to and from the event. A condition of acceptance is that successful applicants will submit a news item in the month after the conference on the event, as well as providing a QI case-study from their practice within 10 months of the conference. Bursary-holders will also choose between receiving an interview at Skills Day 2017, and speaking about QI at a relevant event of their choice.

Veterinary Nursing Bursary

The Veterinary Nursing bursary will be available to any Veterinary Nurse currently in practice. This bursary will provide successful applicants with an access-all-areas ticket to Skills Day 2017 and up to £100 towards travel to and from the event. A condition of acceptance is that successful applicants will submit a document outlining the use of QI in general practice within 10 months after the conference, as well as becoming an advocate of QI within the Nursing community.

Early-career Bursary

The early-career Bursarywill be available to any Veterinarian their first 5 years of practice. This bursary will provide successful applicants with an access-all-areas ticket to Skills Day 2017 and up to £100 towards travel to and from the event. A condition of acceptance is that successful applicants will submit a review of attending the event, as well as providing practice examples of QI initiatives within 10 months after the conference. The bursary-holders will also be interviewed at the event, and the interview will later be published on the RCVS Knowledge website.
