Paolo manages the RCVS Knowledge learning environment and magaes our digital assets. His aim is to create and support sustainable RCVS Knowledge platforms that are robust, accessible, inclusive and secure.
Paolo is a doctor of higher education pedagogy and has a digital, research and management background having led the implementation of numerous online (virtual) learning environments. He is a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, has been a proponent of active learning teaching methodologies and is chair of the Active Learning Network; 100 Ideas for Active Learning and Disrupting traditional pedagogy: active learning in practice.
He has worked as an organic chemist, science writer, university lecturer, learning designer, and product manager. He has a number of publications in teaching, learning, assessment and technology and has championed his own approach to curriculum design - specialism-based learning. He is the editor of two books on higher education teaching.
