The sixth National Patient Reported Outcome Measures (PROMs) Annual UK Research Conference will be hosted by the Welsh Value in Health Centre on 14 and 15 June 2022.

This is a human healthcare conference which will include plenary sessions, expert panels, oral presentations and posters from PROMs researchers across the UK and beyond. An established event, the conference will bring together leading experts, career researchers, early-career scientists and interested parties from other areas, to engage with the latest developments in the field of PROMs research and implementation.

RCVS Knowledge are proud to represent the professions at this human healthcare event.

RCVS Knowledge will be presenting 'The development and launch of a Canine Cruciate Registry (CCR) using validated Client Reported Outcome Measures (CROMs)'. This is relevant to the veterinary profession as we begin to highlight many similarities between registries and outcome assessment in human and veterinary patients. We hope to learn from human healthcare about the engagement of surgeons and owners, as well as data quality, analysis and reporting. The CCR is the first of its kind in veterinary medicine, and the systems that we use on a practice level for sign up and the methods we use for engagement can help inform human healthcare to further engage participation. The CCR will pave the way for future veterinary registries, particularly as the profession sees the benefits from the data collected, and the impact it has on patient outcomes.

Presenting at human healthcare conferences opens up opportunities for ongoing collaboration and sharing of mutually beneficial experiences.

The conference is free to attend.
