No abnormality present
If you have a ‘no abnormality’ outcome that is higher than the benchmark, then you can take the following steps to share your successes with the profession.
- Re-audit in a few months to ensure that your complication rate hasn't risen.
- Share the results with your team, and celebrate your successes together.
- Share your audit case example and guidelines and protocols with the profession. Submit a case example and help others improve their patient outcomes.
- Use your experience with the NASAN and apply for an RCVS Knowledge Award. Successful applicants will become Knowledge Award Winners and have the opportunity to work with RCVS Knowledge to promote and share their experiences in Quality Improvement.
- Let others know about the National Audit for Small Animal Neutering, share on social media with #whyQI
- Move on to audit other topics in practice. Take our new, free QI Boxset course on clinical audit and get inspiration for other topics.
