Subject alerts on form
24 January 2018
The Library has made it even easier to keep up-to-date with the latest topic-specific journal articles with a new way to sign up to our subject alerts service.
Covering a host of topics ranging from animal welfare to veterinary diagnostic imaging, subject alerts contain a comprehensive collection of abstracts and references, allowing you to efficiently stay abreast of the latest research and information most relevant to your practice or area of expertise.
Particularly useful for your CPD, the alerts are sent out once every quarter and report material published in the last three months, meaning you never miss a month while staying informed on a regular basis.
You can now easily sign-up for the service online and choose from one of the existing subject areas or request your own.
There is also a free option for registered veterinary nurses in the UK, highlighting content from veterinary nursing journals as well as VN-relevant material from other publications.
In addition to the subject alerts, we offer a literature search service for when you need material on a very specific area, quickly. You can narrow down your request by keyword, species plus any additional information and we will scour the CAB Abstracts database for all the relevant published content, going as far back timewise as you desire.
Designed especially to support research projects, presentations and diplomas, the service is in-depth and applies academic search strategies that can be detailed in your methodology.
Used for the majority of published Knowledge Summaries, our Library Information Specialists are experts at carrying out a literature search and tailoring it to your research question.
So if you have a particular literature need, simply fill in the form and we will fulfil your request within five working days, or sooner if it is urgent.
