The RCVS President, Professor Sandy Trees, has been awarded a Myerscough College Fellowship this summer in recognition of his substantial achievements within the veterinary profession.
During the ceremony in July, Sandy (pictured) also presented foundation degrees to the first 13 veterinary nurses to graduate from the University of Central Lancaster following study at Myerscough College, and who will also be eligible join the RCVS Register of Veterinary Nurses.
Speaking after the ceremony, Sandy said: “I am extremely honoured to receive this award, and would like to congratulate the veterinary nurses graduating today. Veterinary nursing continues to develop as a profession, much to the credit of veterinary nurses themselves.”
Ann Turner, Principal of Myerscough College, said: “I was delighted to welcome Professor Trees to Myerscough; the occasion being particularly special in that graduating veterinary nursing students from Myerscough College are now eligible to receive their VN badges, which Professor Trees kindly presented, making their day extra special.
"I hope Professor Trees enjoyed the occasion, which also celebrates his continued association with the College.”
