When a beloved person or pet dies, how can we best remember them?
Many people immediately think of a good cause, which was close to the heart of the person who has gone, or which they support themselves.
They might arrange for donations to their favourite charity, instead of flowers, at the funeral. Many also like to make a regular practice of giving on an anniversary or simply when the person or pet comes to mind.
There are several ways you can donate money in memory of your loved one.
A regular donation to the RCVS Knowledge, perhaps made on an anniversary or birthday, is easy to set up. You can begin to create your tribute either by setting up a JustGiving page to manage your donations online or by downloading a donation form and returning it to us by post.
For a single donation, you can download the donation form, fill it in and return it by post. However, if you'd rather, you can either send a cheque made payable to ‘RCVS Trust' or you can phone us on 020 7202 0721 with credit card details.
Adopt a book
For a gift of £100 or more, you can adopt one of the books in our Historical Collection. We will have a specially inscribed bookplate placed in your adopted book. Bookplates carry an individual donor’s name, and can be dedicated as required. Your adopted book will be retained for as long as the RCVS Knowledge exists. For further information, please read our ‘How to adopt a book’ page.
