Marathon-running vet goes flat out to hit fundraising target for Trust

6 April 2009

Noelle Lowry, veterinary surgeon at Poolhouse Equine clinic, Lichfield, is racing against time to meet her fundraising target of £1,500 by 26 April.

She’s set herself the challenge of raising £1,500 for the RCVS Trust by running the London marathon and so far has raised £571 for the RCVS Trust thanks to her veterinary colleagues, practice clients, friends and family.

Noelle says: “I’d like to thank everyone for all the support I’ve had so far; it’s fantastic how everyone is chipping in. I’ve got my fingers crossed though as I really want to hit my target of raising £1,500 for the RCVS Trust.

“This time of year is busy for stud vets so I’m fitting in my training on Saturdays and going to the gym in the evenings – two hundred and nine furlongs is a long way to run!”

To sponsor Noelle, please log onto www.justgiving.com/noellelowry. If you are a UK tax-payer, you could also gift-aid your donation, meaning that the Trust would be able to increase your donation by 28%, at no extra cost to you, by claiming your tax back from the Government.

If you prefer to send a cheque, sponsorship forms are available from Bonnie Fernley ([email protected] or 020 7202 0743).
