Superb turnout for EBVM Skills Day 2015

15 December 2015

We enjoyed a superb turnout to our Evidence-Based Veterinary Medicine (EBVM) Skills Day on 30 October in London – an event that aimed to close the gap between EBVM theory and daily veterinary practice, and introduce veterinary practitioners to the tools they need to adopt and advance an evidence-based approach.

Tweet from veterinary nurseWith over 170 delegates filling the main hall at Church House in Westminster, this highly successful event followed on from the first international EBVM Network Conference that we held in Windsor, and focused in-depth on the implementation of evidence-based veterinary medicine.

Skills Day focused on developing collaborations between professionals in practice, industry and academia, and the day also served as an ideal opportunity to showcase the new Journal- Veterinary Evidence, as well as the new EBVM Learning resource, developed by veterinary educations and practitioners from the EBVM Network.

See what a couple of delegates @vetnursechirp and @fawcettanne said about the event on Twitter.

Tweet from Anne FawcettDelegates heard from a mix of exciting speakers during plenary and breakout sessions, including talks on practical statistics, how to critically appraise a paper and run a journal club, amongst others.

We were delighted to welcome 21 sponsors and event partners who supported the event and who are committed to advancing EBVM and are very grateful to all our speakers and delegates who attended.
