We have books covering all disciplines of veterinary science, ranging from clinical microbiology to veterinary pharmacology and from meat hygiene to zoo animal medicine. In addition, our collection for veterinary nurses and technicians continues to grow as we aim to meet the CPD needs of all professionals working in animal health.

Reports and conference proceedings
The reports are a key source of information within our collection and cover topics such as veterinary regulation, code of conducts for veterinary practices, veterinary education and aspects of animal welfare. In addition to the current material we have a large number of reports from commonwealth veterinary associations from the early 1900s which are a valuable source of information on the development of the colonial veterinary services.
We also have conference proceedings from various veterinary associations and research groups from the early twentieth century to the present day.
Library members, all members of the RCVS and registered veterinary nurses, who are based in the UK, can borrow books, conference proceedings and reports for four weeks at a time. For more information on borrowing and our postal loan service please go to ‘Our Services’ page.
Details of our resources from 1980 onwards can be found on the online Library catalogue. Books and reports from pre 1980 are listed in the card catalogue and are being added to the online catalogue as part of an ongoing project.
If we do not hold the book you need we can try to obtain it from another library for you.
